    Bubble Blowing Mix 

1/4 cup  Liquid Dishwashing Soap*

1/2 cup  Water

1 tsp  Sugar  -or-

3 tsp  Glycerine**

DISSOLVE the sugar into the water
then add the dishwashing soap.

STORE the bubble solution in a resealable container
such as a water bottle or
 mayonnaise jar.

DISPENSE the solution into a flat container, like a plastic
 plate or pie tin, for easy use.

BLOW bubbles using just about
anything you can think of to make
bubbles -- plastic
 straws, thumb-and-forefingers,
cut out paper cups, old cloths hangers...
be creative!

* Be sure to use liquid dishwashing soap and
 not Automatic Dishwashing Machine

 Soap.

** Glycerine works better than sugar to help stablize
the blown bubbles and gives a shiny

appearance. Glycerine can be found
in most pharmacies.

NOTE: This solution is safe for plants.
 Liquid soap shouldn't contain phosphates
and is okay for grass and other
vegetation.

 Coloured Playdough (Trylledej)

1 cup flour

1 tbsp vegetable oil

1 cup water

1/2 cup salt

2 tsp. cream of tartar

Food colouring

Mix all ingredients in saucepan.
Heat, stirring constantly until ball forms.
Knead until smooth.

    Face Paint

1 tsp. corn starch

1/2 tsp. water

1/2 tsp. cold cream

Food colouring

Stir together starch and cold cream until
well blended. Add water and stir. Add food colouring.

Using a small brush paint designs on child's face.
Remove with soap and water.
Store in airtight container.

 Finger Paints (Fingre Maling)

1 cup  All-Purpose Flour

4 cup  Water (add 1 cup then 3 cups)

Food Colouring

COMBINE flour and 1 cup water into a large saucepan. Stir in water until smooth.
Add the  remaining 3 cups water and place over medium heat. Bring the mixture
 to a sustained boil (cannot be stirred down)
for 1 minute then remove from heat. Let cool.
Pour into 3 or 4 separate cups (paper cups,
plastic bowls, etc.) and add food colouring.

STORE the paint in a air-tight plastic bowl,
cup, or large baggie.

 Giant Bubble Liquid

1/2 cl dish detergent

5 cl Water; distilled is best

2 tb Glycerine

Mix the dish detergent with the water.
(Measure carefully, it makes a big difference.
Stir. Add the glycerine as this makes more
durable bubbles. You can bend a wire coat
hanger into a circle and wind a string around
 it. Depending on how big you want ur bubbles.
